Scheduled for demolition, and not a moment too soon in my opinion. It's certainly been a landmark for quite a while, especially since the '60s when it 'starred' in Get Carter, but as a building it's worse than useless. It's been empty and unused for years There should be a competition to see who gets to push the button. But you can bet that the Tesco they build it its place will be no prettier.
