What Classic Cars are cheap and cheap to insure?

Question by Lightbulbguy: What Classic Cars are cheap and cheap to insure?
I'm coming up to a point in my life when I need to buy a car. (16 years old UK). I want to get a classic car like a classic VW Beetle or an Austin Mini, something with real character and not a typical first car like a Peugeot 106. Have you any suggestions on some cheap cars to insure and ones that you can buy the car for less than about £600-700 used?
